Effectively managing human resources requires the right tools—both efficient and well-adapted. Michel Limbo, HR generalist at Societe Generale Africa, shares his experience with Central Test and the positive impact its tools have had on the company's HR processes.
What are your main responsibilities in human capital management?
As an HR manager, I support the organisation's managers across multiple departments. In my portfolio, I work with several directors, assisting them in managing their teams, recruitment, and the overall HR processes throughout the year. This includes the entire HR cycle, from setting objectives and conducting performance evaluations to supporting employees in career management, HR needs, career orientation, onboarding new hires, recruitment, and internal mobility.
What led you to choose Central Test for your assessments?
One key aspect of the group I work for is our preference for standardised, modern, and proven tools, avoiding the need to reinvent the wheel. That’s why we chose to collaborate with providers like Central Test, which offers well-structured and reliable tools.
Our observations showed that Central Test provides a diverse and advanced range of tests suited to assessing different profiles and job functions. While there aren’t numerous industry-specific tests, there are a few that help enhance our talent assessment processes within the company. We have found that the reports provided are clear, to the point, and aligned with our objectives. In terms of feedback, the reports are easy to interpret, both for the employees being assessed and for the managers.
How do Central Test's tools fit into your recruitment and mobility practices?
We integrate Central Test’s tools into our recruitment process. When an external candidate applies, one of the key steps involves taking these assessments. The same applies to internal recruitment, especially for mobility, where we compare multiple candidates for a given role.
One of the main advantages is the ability to conduct assessment campaigns for a group of candidates applying for the same position. With precise mapping, we can identify the best match for the role. These tools also help us evaluate employees' potential, even if they haven't yet acquired all the necessary technical skills. This allows us to measure their ability to evolve into new roles or move up to higher-level positions (N+1).
Additionally, we use Central Test for talent assessments, leveraging tools such as Professional Profile 2 and 360 Feedback, which we have already implemented to analyse employees' growth potential.
What ROI have you observed with Central Test in terms of recruitment efficiency and quality?
In terms of return on investment, we particularly appreciate Central Test for ensuring transparency in our assessment processes and enabling us to make reliable decisions. Another key benefit is its role in preventing conflicts of interest during recruitment. The assessment results are shared and accepted by both employees and managers, which simplifies the entire process.
Central Test is a high-performance, high-quality, and modern tool that continues to improve year after year. We highly recommend it.
